| Description: | ECS is seeking a full-time Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Technician for our Branford, Connecticut office. This position requires a minimum of an Associate�s Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or other related discipline with 1-3 years experience in the environmental consulting, environmental/facility compliance or facility health and safety fields. The duties may include but are not limited to sample collection and field analysis (air, soil, groundwater, wastewater, waste and building materials), compilation of lab data and preparation of summary data/charts, file review and documentation, data management, chemical usage reporting, waste management, facility EHS compliance inspections, regulatory compliance plan updates, preparation of regulatory submittals and technical reports, and project coordination. Experience with SPCC, SWPP and waste management plans and air, water and waste permitting a plus. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office software. Task management, organizational skills, good communication and the ability to work under deadlines are a must. This position will require travel to local job sites. OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification is preferred, but training can be provided.
Must be able to pass the company�s Driver Safety Policy requirements, a pre-employment physical/drug screen and a criminal background and driving record check. Must have a valid driver license in good standing. Salary is commensurate with experience.
