| Description: | Environmental Compliance Services, Inc., (ECS) is an environmental consulting firm comprising approximately 200 professionals with offices throughout the New England, Ohio, North Carolina and Florida.
ECS has an immediate opening for a mid-level full time Environmental Project Manager (PM) with 3-5 years Project Management experience for our Charlotte, North Carolina office. The successful candidate must have a BS degree in Environmental Engineering/Science, Geology, Hydrogeology, or other directly related field. The individual for this position will be responsible for strategic disposition and management of environmental services including personnel, resource management, and technical oversight on regulatory reporting requirements. Demonstrated experience is required in remedial construction, field sampling from various sources, historical site research, visual site inspections, sub-surface investigations, and in performing and managing Site Assessments via ASTM standards, pilot/slug testing and data collection, lab data reduction and compilation, and drilling oversight.
The mid-level Project Manager plays a supervisory role with administrative responsibilities including management of a group of moderately complex projects with a minimum value of $250K annually or complex project with assistance from senior staff members. Duties will also include subcontractor coordination, data management, proposal preparation/Scopes of Work, budgeting, senior review of technical reports, and preparation of regulatory submittals. Candidate must be able to operate independently, take direction well and disseminate information accurately and in a timely manner to project team members and provide technical expertise in review of letter and/or reports for regulatory submittal. In addition, the individual will be responsible for all aspects of staff management including mentoring, supervision, and staff performance evaluation including periodic reviews and corrective action if or when necessary.
Excellent verbal and technical writing skills, the ability to multi-task, and the capability to be readily adaptable to schedule changes while working under deadline pressures are a must. Travel to various site locations will be required, and individual must be able to successfully pass the company�s Driver Safety Policy requirements, a pre-employment physical/drug screen, along with successful completion of a criminal background and driving record check. Candidate must also have a valid driver�s license in good standing. Salary is commensurate with experience.
